Our Process
At HD Russell Boots & Shoes we combine experienced craftsmanship with the finest leathers to create heritage quality Goodyear Welted footwear in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Full grain leather sourced from Horween in Chicago is used for the majority of our leather uppers
Vegetable-tanned leather is used for the insoles and midsole.
An EVA foam underlayer and cork is added for comfort and cushioning. Full cork is available on request.
A leather counter reinforces the heel, maintaining structure while allowing it to flex and mold to your foot over time.
Every boot and shoe is hand-lasted and Goodyear welted in our Vancouver workshop.
We offer a choice of outsoles — from Vibram and Dr. Sole to a leather Topy half sole.
Our footwear is constructed by artisans and craftspeople who have decades of experience in designing and making quality leather footwear.
